Peoples Friendship Museum

Peoples Friendship Museum is located in the house built by the officer of the Russian dragoon guards occupying the territory of village Khornabuji in the 19th century – G. I Nechvolodov. In that period the house served as the place of meetings of the Russian Decembrists and the local upper-class society members. Together with the ethnographic and historical documentary materials, the exhibits reflecting the life of Pushkin, Lermontov, Bestuzhev, Rayevsky, Odoyevsky, Pushkin and other well-known people are saved in the museum. It is assumed that Mikheil Lermontov wrote his well-known poem “Demon” during his stay in this house.
