Service description:
Teona Sekhniashvili decided to expand her family farm and to develop services for tourists in Dedoplistskaro. With the support of the EU’s rural development grant, she could construct and fully furnish several wood cottages.
Teo’s cottages are located in proximity to Artsivi (Eagle) Gorge Natural Monument in Dedoplistskaro municipality. This is a very touristic place, hence, Teo’s business initiative offers visitors much needed services. Teona provides not only accommodation but also enjoyable tours around her farmland. The initiative fosters the development of tourism, including agritourism in Dedoplistskaro. It also encourages women’s economic empowerment. At present, 4 local women are employed at Teo’s place.
