Kochebis (salty) lake

The resort place Mlashe Tba (salty lake)  belongs to the climatic resort place type, locals call it “the lake of the Kochis”. This little lake is situated between the Shiraki plain and the Iori upland. The distance from Dedoplistskaro is 4 km, 800 meters above sea level. The water capacity is 1,060,200 m³, and the drainage size is 1,3 km². According to one of the scientific findings, Kochebi Lake is a remnant of the Caspian Sea. At the time of the Soviet Union, the recreational zone was arranged on the banks of the lake, today a former infrastructure is destroyed.
