Initiative group meeting

The European Union helps Georgia and, particularly Dedoplistskaro municipality, to promote agricultural and rural development by the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD) project “Citizens Engagement for Economic Development (PROCEED)”. The ENPARD supports to improve the quality of life and the social conditions of the rural population, based on the development of agriculture and tourism sectors.

On April 24, 2019, with the support of PROCEED, the meeting of the local tourism development association initiative group was held in Dedoplistskaro city hall.

The meeting was attended by representatives of 18 local tourism businesses, local municipalities and PROCEED projects.

The PROCEED project offered the attendees to establish a tourism development association for cooperating in the tourism sector.

The participants endorsed the idea of establishing the local tourism development association and joining in it.
